Lazada Logistics Recognized at B20 Sustainability 4.0 Awards

Lazada Logistics was honored as the winner of the Responsible Consumption and Production (Plastic) category at the inaugural B20 Sustainability 4.0 Awards, a joint European-Indonesian project and event under B20 Indonesia 2022. The awards celebrate businesses and individuals that implement sustainable practices and embrace the environment and societies in their agendas. From more than 700 participants, Lazada Logistics was selected for its waste-reduction initiatives, such as its program to recycle used boxes into packaging lining to replace plastic bubbles; its decarbonization plan, which includes the use of rooftop solar panels and low carbon vehicles; as well as other initiatives.

RedMart Celebrates 11th Anniversary 

RedMart celebrated its 11th anniversary with the return of its flagship offline event for the first time in four years. The RedMart Foods & Goods Market, held at One Punggol Community Hub on October 22-23, was open for free to members of the public and featured 36 booths covering a spectrum of grocery categories, including fresh vegetables, frozen meats and seafood, plant-based dairy products, ready-to-eat meals, wellness foods, alcohol and international food products. Visitors also took part in complimentary masterclasses, including a craft workshop by Cricut as well as classes for kombucha pairing, sake appreciation and nutrition planning for children. Also present was Fishball Story founder Douglas Ng, who shared the story behind his Michelin Bib-Gourmand eatery.

Lazada Receives Recognition from Partners for Trust and Safety Efforts

During Lazada’s Trust & Safety month in October, also known as Cybersecurity Awareness Month globally, the eCommerce platform was recognized for its efforts in building a safe and trusted online marketplace by many partners, including the Singapore Police Force, Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore and non-governmental organization Tech4Good. Lazada’s Risk and Security team also continued its efforts to strengthen partnerships with government agencies, brand owners and other partners with a series of physical and virtual workshops held in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam to promote cybersecurity and best practices regarding intellectual property protection. The workshops were attended by over 700 participants collectively.
