Lazada Vietnam this week unveiled its brand-new office in the capital city of Hanoi. Located in the bustling Ba Dinh business district, the new space complements the eCommerce platform’s existing office in Ho Chi Minh City and supports the company’s operations and talent in northern Vietnam.
Adorned in Lazada’s signature colors, the vibrant office boasts a unique design and layout that draws inspiration from the famed 36 streets in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, blending the rich history and culture of Vietnam’s capital city with the modern rhythm of the eCommerce industry. In addition to an open-plan working area that facilitates discussion and collaboration, the office also includes dedicated rest and relaxation areas for employees. Similar to other Lazada offices, it is also equipped with modern equipment and facilities that enable seamless remote teamwork across the entire region.
Lazada Vietnam’s new office in Hanoi
Lazada entered Vietnam in 2012 as part of its initial establishment in Southeast Asia and has since led the growth of a robust eCommerce industry in the country and across the region. Today, Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economies. According to a recent study by Lazada and research firm Milieu Insight, 81% of Vietnamese shoppers consider online shopping to be part of daily life, with 59% indicating that they shop online at least once a week, marking the highest frequency reported in the region.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lazada Vietnam Chief People Officer Van Thi Hong Hanh said the new office is expected to strengthen the company’s footprint in the country and create hundreds of attractive job opportunities for local talent in the dynamic eCommerce industry.
Lazada Vietnam Chief Executive Officer Kaya Qin added that the office reflects the company’s continued commitment to serving the local market. “Since our very first day in Vietnam, it has been our mission and vision to provide our services to buyers and sellers from every corner of Vietnam. More than an office opening, our new footprint in Hanoi will enable us to connect with buyers, brands and sellers in Hanoi and the surrounding provinces in northern Vietnam,” she said. “This is a strategic step forward in our long-term journey of accelerating the growth of the Vietnamese economy through commerce and technology.”
