2022 is coming to an end, and what a year it’s been! As we wrap up this eventful year, we look back at some of the most memorable stories from the past 12 months.

One of the biggest stories of the year was Lazada’s 10th anniversary. This was an important milestone not only for the company but for Southeast Asia’s eCommerce industry as a whole. It’s no wonder then that our visual story of Lazada’s establishment and growth against a backdrop of digital commerce and technological developments in the last decade was the most-read story on LazBeat this year. Readers were also eager to read about how tech investments play a key role in Lazada’s growth and success as well as new developments that were rolled out this year as part of the 10-year milestone, including the unveiling of Lazada’s new regional headquarters and the launch of Lazada Foundation, an initiative aimed at nurturing and providing opportunities to young talent and women across the region.

As part of the company’s birthday celebrations, we also expanded our popular “Humans of Lazada” series to feature stories of Lazadian Legends – long-term employees who have grown with the company over the past decade. This year we also introduced the “LazBeat News Roundup,” a quick take on the latest happenings at Lazada Group and in the wider regional digital commerce landscape. This new series has proven to be a hit with readers looking to keep up with this fast-paced industry.
